FightBack Now

Summary of FightBack Now

As the pandemic recedes, innovation will be the key issue. The old ways didn’t save us from the new coronavirus – and we know they won’t solve the climate change crisis that’s heading our way. We need innovation now. FightBack shows how we can use digital technology,
entrepreneurial creativity and new business models to exploit our existing assets and fashion a viable future for our children. It offers a new approach, based on corporate venture building, that can mobilize the underutilized potential of our mighty corporations, enabling them to play a key role in launching innovative, profitable and strategically relevant businesses and creating a better world.

Anna Alex

“We founded Planetly to bring meaningful transparency to the measuring of carbon emission footprints in the corporate world. The sustainability market is challenging and we therefore need a diversity of leaders to join our mission. FightBack Now is the book for a new movement of impact driven leaders.”

Lawrence Leuschner
Co-Founder and CEO, Tier Mobility

"As an impact entrepreneur, I wholeheartedly agree with a core thesis of this book: that we can fight climate change by building companies with sustainable visions. From commerce to mobility, I am convinced that every business sector must take actions today to protect our planet now! FightBack Now outlines a clear vision for how this can be put into practice at scale."

Hence, I couldn’t agree more with the authors of FightBack Now that big organizations have an important responsibility to harness their assets for the digital age in order to create more resilient societies and a healthier planet. This book will get you excited about becoming a leader of the new normal."

Anthony Roberts

"When the history of these years is written we will see creative destruction and social dislocation on an epic scale driven by new technologies, and accelerated by global events. It is a seismic shift that all companies and entrepreneurs need to tackle now in order to survive and to thrive. The time to fight back is now, and this book shows how to go about it"

Alexander Wennergren Helm
CEO, Aleris Group

"We have a responsibility to actively drive meaningful structural change for more resilient and healthier societies. Innovation Will be needed to succeed, but Transformative innovation is a search process that takes you to unknown territory. If you try to restrict that too much, you’re unlikely to have a good success rate in your innovation. FightBack Now provides you with helpful heuristics to go about Corporate Venture Building.”
